The Melbourne Museum, 11 Nicholson St, Carlton VIC 3053
The publishing industry has undergone major changes in the past few years: Open Access, Artificial Intelligence, new metrics, social media, research funding challenges, etc. These changes have forced researchers, academics, universities, government bodies, editors, and publishers alike to re-imagine the way they approach Research Publishing.
As we advance this "new normal," it is essential to consider the implications of innovation, the ethical considerations required for positive change, and the need for transparency in research publishing.
Join us as we listen to external and internal experts share their insights and strategies for advancing the new normal while balancing these challenges, on Thursday 5th of October 2023, from 9:30am to 5:00pm at the Melbourne Museum, Carlton Gardens, in Melbourne.
Here are some of the topics we will be exploring:
Come along for a drink afterwards during our post-seminar networking reception from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Dinosaur Walk Gallery of the Museum. Everyone attending the post-seminar reception will automatically be entered into the draw to win a door prize: one of three Melbourne Museum household memberships (2 adults and 4 children up to 16 years), giving unlimited free general entry at Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and Immigration Museum for a year!
Registration is free and by invitation only, but places are limited, so we encourage you to register early to secure your spot.
If you have any questions or would like to request a colleague’s invitation, please contact Alice Daigremont at adaigremon@wiley.com.
We hope to see you there!
