Professor Kenny has an extensive and distinguished clinical career in cancer care as a specialist in Radiation Oncology. Her main areas of clinical, scientific and research interest are in complex skin cancer, head and neck cancer and breast cancer. She is a principal or co-investigator of several national and international clinical trials and has published over 150 scientific papers. She is a Professor in the School of Medicine University of Queensland.
Professor Kenny has served on the Board of Cancer Australia and held the Presidencies of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia, and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
Liz was the inaugural chair of the Queensland Clinical Network Executive, has recently stepped down as chair of the Artificial Intelligence Committee RANZCR, led the development Practice Standards for Interventional Oncology for CIRSE, and was involved in developing the International Accreditation System for Interventional Oncology Services.
Professor Kenny’s work has been recognised with honours by international radiological organisations and she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in2017.
