Chris Graf is Director, Research Integrity and Publishing Ethics at Wiley, and is Trustee and Past Co-Chair of COPE, Committee on Publication Ethics. Academic and researcher behavior and publishing are changing fast. The integrity of what we peer review and publish has never been more important. Academic and research publishers need editorial processes, technology, and a focus on quality that fits the research environment we work in, and that fits what our communities and customers expect of us. How we make that focus real is important: What we do is always a collaboration with editors, publishing teams, with researchers and academic communities, with societies and associations, and it is always shaped by funders and institutions. Chris leads initiatives at Wiley that focus on transparency, research integrity and publishing ethics.
