Increasingly popular, Makerspaces in libraries serve to engage makers of all ages in active hands-on learning experiences, providing endless possibilities for collaboration, exploration, problem solving and to materialise their creative thinking.
With this growing interest in nurturing Makerspaces at libraries and the benefits they bring, speakers from Curtin University Library will share their experience of establishing and running the Curtin Library Makerspace.
Curtin Library Makerspace is the physical ‘hub’ or learning space for the community of makers within, or connected to, the Curtin community. Equipped with a range of tools and materials, it is designed to encourage learning, exploration, innovation and play through self-directed learning.
