Martin is the University Librarian at UNSW Sydney. Prior he held senior roles at QUT and Griffith University. He is a member of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL), a member of the CAUL Procurement Committee which oversees consortium purchasing, the Chair of the Go8 University Librarians Committee, the Chair of the Executive of the Australasian Open Access Strategy Group (AOASG), the Chair of the Board for the Global Sustainability Coalition of Open Science Services (SCOSS), and a member of the Board for CAVAL.
