余光輝醫師現為林口長庚紀念醫院學術組教授，在2011至2013年間擔任台灣實證醫學學會理事長，本次演講他將針對Evidence-based Medicine, Cochrane Library可能對藥物研發上的幫助，以其在臨床與實務中分享經驗。

Professor Yu is an expert in the field of Evidence-based Medicine (EBM). He serves as the President of Taiwan Evidence-Based Medicine Association (TEBMA) in 2011-2013. In this talk, he will share his experience in the practice of EBM in clinical research and introduce the five steps in practicing EBM. Step 1. Converting the need for information (about prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy) into an answerable question. Step 2. Searching the best evidence with which to answer that question. Step 3. Critically appraising the evidence for its validity, impact, and applicability. Step 4. Integrating the evidence with our clinical expertise and patients’ unique biology, values and circumstances. Step 5. Evaluating our effectiveness and efficiency in executing steps 1-4.
