Steffen is an information scientist working at the ZBW (German National Library of Economics) in Kiel, Germany. He is a member of the Web Science research group under supervision of Prof. Dr. Isabella Peters, where he is currently also working on a PhD in Computer Science. Steffen was part of several research projects funded by the German Research Foundation and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, where he primarily engaged in research on quantifications of impact in science as well as on interdependencies between impact measures and science communication.
