Dr. Roel C. Rodrigo graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree, major in Educational Management, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna. He also obtained his undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila .He is currently the Director of the Learning Environments and Innovations Office at Malayan Colleges Laguna, A Mapua School, located in the province of Laguna, south of the capital city of Manila, Philippines. Likewise, he serves as a part-time faculty member of the E.T. Yuchengco College of Business, handling management, tourism, hospitality, and research courses. As an administrator, he is responsible for the management and deployment of educational technology tools used for hybrid and blended learning. He is also engaged in the learning and development initiatives on the use of these edtech tools, providing support in enhancing courses using the principles of instructional design, and other professional development needs of the faculty. The acceleration to shift to online learning brought about by the pandemic, combined with the challenges and strategies formed with his role, gave him an opportunity to explore, learn, and share some of his learnings and best practices on digital transformation at various conferences and events.
